Für viele sind die 80er und 90er aus heutiger Sicht jene Zeit, in der Kinder zum Spielen noch nach draußen gegangen sind und Gesichter nicht den ganzen Tag durch Handys verdeckt waren. Und es stimmt, wir haben den ganzen Tag mit unseren Freunden im Freien getobt, um abends mit Klamotten voller Grasflecken heimzukommen („bitte bevor es dunkel wird“, hat Mama immer gesagt).
Aber man darf auch nicht vergessen, dass in dieser Zeit eine ganz andere Art der Freizeitbeschäftigung Einzug in unsere Kinderzimmer hielt und unsere Jugend geprägt hat: Video- und Computerspiele nämlich!

Und wir waren wirklich dankbar, an regnerischen Tagen und in der kalten Jahreszeit mehr zu haben als unsere Masters-Actionfiguren oder Matchbox-Autos. Kids von heute können sich kaum vorstellen, wie viel Freude es machte, ein pixeliges Game auf dem C64 zu zocken – in einer Zeit, in der sich technische Innovationen noch nicht atemlos im Jahresrhythmus aneinander reihten. Es war etwas ganz besonderes, bei den „Winter Games“ von der 8-Bit-Schanze zu springen oder dann, in den späten 80ern, zu ersten Mal mit Mario durch Röhren in die Unterwelt abzutauchen.

Später wurden die Joypads ergonomischer, die Grafik besser und die Spiele vielfältiger – die Faszination jedoch blieb dieselbe. Welche Spiele haben dich im Laufe deiner Jugend begleitet und welche hältst du in Ehren? Vielleicht finden sich einige davon in der nachstehenden Liste wieder. Zugegeben, viele ganz alte Games haben wir nicht berücksichtigt, aber die erhalten sowieso alle einen „Ehren-Oscar“, oder?
